This hotel was excellent for an overnight stay in Hallstatt. The price is very reasonable, especially for our room having a lakeside view (would recommend booking early for a lakeside view room)! The room was very clean and everything was great quality. Location is great considering everything is walkable in Hallstatt. The lady who checked us in and out was very nice and professional and the buffet style breakfast was a nice touch that was included in the overall price of our stay.

The staff was great and very quick and friendly at check in. The meal we had our first night here was wonderful, I would definitely recommend the trout in lemon dill cream sauce. My wife and I spent under €70 for a 3 course meal with beers and Espresso. Those who complained about no cards accepted, this is a fairly common practice throughout Germany and Austria so do better research before you travel.

This hotel is really full of old world charm. It is comfortable and cosy and has excellent views. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is well worth the visit. The restaurant is also charming and the food excellent. I would highly recommend anyone stay here.

We' enjoyed a lovely dinner here over 10 years ago so thought it would be a good pick for this visit. Not so. We were stuck into a nook, sharing a table with another couple as well as an assortment of crates of bottled water and other stored items. Food was not bad but when presented with the bill we were told it was "cash only". Hello!! It's the 21st century, who walks around with wads of cash? We were asked to go to the ATM down the road to get the cash...not good as no pre-warning of this requirement was displayed anywhere .

Was here for dinner. The food is decent. We ordered duck, pork schnitzel and fish soup. The duck is really good. The place is interestingly decorated and has a lot of outdoor space.
