This artisanal deli used to be a pleasure to visit. I rated it as 5 star previously. While the service remains good and there is still a range of interesting products, I recently had an unpleasant experience with the locally made fare. When I took the evidence (very sharp and large enough to cause pain multiple bone shards in sausages) back to the shop, I was prepared to accept this being an unfortunate incident with a batch, but was shocked to hear that bone shards are 'normal'. Well, the friends and family I had for dinner, where the sausages had to be removed from the meal, have all never encountered such a phenomena in all our collective sausage eating years across a few continents. While bone shards may not be life threatening, imo they don't reflect something normal to expect in top quality food.

No value for money, spent $8.35 for a sandwich made with regular sliced bread, tasted good but it was tiny, as my grandma would have said "like a tea biscuit to an elephant"

Hands down the absolute best dry pepperoni sticks I've had - if you are a fan of dry pepperoni you know how hard it can be to get a good quality one, Beast & Brine's is bang on in my opinion. I've also tried the hot dogs here and have much respect for them - classic style dogs with a crispy skin and a light smoke.
