Our stay in Cascada Hotel was a welcome surprise in our recent European holiday! They have certain wonderful touches and additional perks that make the guests feel taken care of well. And the breakfast, it is superb! We love the variety, quality, presentation & personality/helpfulness of servers. Best breakfast in our entire recent European trip :) Will definitely recommend to our friends and gladly come back should we visit Lucerne again :)

Lovely rooms, extremely friendly and helpful staff, centrally located, - overall we had a really great time in Lucerne and one of the major reasons was Cascada hotels. Will definitely stay here the next time too!!

Such a quaint hotel in the perfect location! We were able to walk to and from the train station (despite too much luggage) without too much difficulty. The hotel was within walking distance to most everything we wanted to see. When we didn't walk, the bus system was vey easy to use and our hotel staff told us which lines to use depending on what we wanted to see. The hotel was very simple but clean. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great and we had a wonderful view of Mt. Pilatus. There were 2 drawbacks to the room though...the first was there really was no room to store our clothes for a 3 night stay. We piled what we needed on a shelf that was on top of the mini fridge and left the rest in our suitcases against the wall. Also, it was warm when we were there at the end of September, beginning of October and really could have used air conditioning at night but the system had been shut down for the season. We were able to open the windows which did cool the room down but was pretty noisy from the street below. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. We missed our American coffee though. This was everywhere in Europe, not just here. We ate dinner in the restaurant 2 nights and although the food was fantastic, it was overpriced and we had to pay for water!! I chose this hotel because of the location, free wifi and free breakfast..it all turned out great!

We arrived from Milan via boat and walked to the hotel. Were pleasantly surprised to find an older building that had been refurbished so carefully and with such nice attention to detail. The rooms have all been updated to a very modern feel with each room named after a waterfall in Switzerland, with a QR code in the room linking to information on the fall that the room had been named after. Everything in the room worked perfectly. We had an upgrade which meant more space but the basic room would have been more than adequate. The breakfast was the best of our three week trip. We only stayed a night but would definitely plan to stay again.
