Food is very nice and manages to produce tasty vegetarian food without resorting to nut loaves and bean burgers. The staff were friendly and happy to help.

First time at the restaurant a lovely cosy quirky place. Situated at one of Bath great little alleyways.
I am not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but my new partner is. But one thing I am is a foodie.
All I can say is absolutely stunning meal, from the staff being wonderful and not rushing this even though it took us 2 1/2 hours to have our dinner to the presentation which was exquisite and the taste explosion was divine. Complimented by the wine that was chosen to go with the meals for anyone that loves food this place is a must. The only downside is I didn't have enough room for desert so I'm going to have to go back.

My partner and I are both committed veggies, love good food and love to cook. We were genuinely excited to find out about this restaurant and were looking forward to come and eat here. But....I'm sorry Acorn but I only give 3 stars - stars awarded because the food was actually good. However, the way the food was delivered, and the space in which it is consumed, simply doesn't match the care and consideration that is clearly coming from the kitchen.
Regards the food - the portions were not large, but what was offered was well presented and tasty. Good, creative vegetarian and vegan cooking. The chocolate and coffee ganache was a crowning glory, very good indeed and, for me, the excellent desert went quite a way to make up for the other disappointing bits which were undermining the chef's good work downstairs.
The not so good bits - ownership might like to take note - Acorn is nearly something very good. However, we couldn't equate the skill and care of the kitchen with what goes on front of house. Food served with dirty crockery, dirty tables and waiting staff who appear to lack awareness of what makes good service - which in my opinion, must extend beyond a simple carry from kitchen to table.
We're gonna give it a few months and come back...wishing you every success!

Amazing food and great little restaurant. It serves vegetarian food only (and I'm not a vegetarian as it happens). However, I wouldn't consider it just a great vegetarian restaurant it is a great restaurant with no caveat. The food is of a fantastic quality and staff are friendly and relaxed. It's quite a small place but has a good atmosphere. As a Bath resident I consider it one of the best restaurants in Bath and happily recommend to meat eating friends.
