Never been to this restaurant chain before, despite having one just down the road from where we live. Thought we'd give it a go.........oh my goodness, fantastic!! The waitress recommended a starter and a main, we took her word for it, and weren't disappointed at all, will definitely be visiting our local giraffe in future!

A nicely put together varied and tasty menu of global cuisine. The vegetarian options were fresh and well done. Good tapas options. Vibrant decor and atmosphere. Very family friendly. Very good service.

We were looking for somewhere quick and easy to eat with kids after a long drive. It was a pleasant surprise to find somewhere of this standard on a town edge retail park.

Always a pleasurable experience...food is always great as is the service we get from he exceptional staff at the Inverness branch.

We got in to Inverness and we were looking for something to eat. We didn't check the opening times and got in late. We were told straight away that the kitchen closed in 7 minutes and that we had to order quickly. We did so, and soon we were the only ones left in the restaurant. All of our meals were very tasty and were finished quickly. We ordered desserts. My sisters ordered a portion of churros to share and I got a whoopie cookie. At this point the kitchen had been officially closed for about an hour, but there were still some staff left there. A waiter - I think his name was Jordan - after practically all of the other wait staff had left, was still taking orders from us and was just generally being incredibly nice. As we were finishing dessert, me and my sisters decided to tip 15% total, and to share it between us so we each payed 5%. When we gave him the tip he was incredibly lovely and gave us little coloured novelty giraffes (which we have all named) and thanked us profusely. So basically, we had a brilliant dinner and all of the staff were awsome. Would go there again, 100%

The meals were okay but the description of a half chicken sounded better than what it was, it was a very small chicken with more bone than meat.
The wife had a Malay dish which seemed good and wonderfully spicy.
Wasn't too impressed with the request for a noodle dish for the bairn as the noodles seemed not so many and disappeared amongst the vegetables. The breaded chicken was fine which the bairn enjoyed.
The bit that irked me was I'd asked for fizzy water for the bairn and got a sealed clear plastic container of tap water which after pointing it out just left it as it was.
I went and paid cash at £42 which I thought was a bit heavy for what we'd received and as she took the money she shot off to serve someone else at a table and I didn't get my receipt, I was left wondering if I was charged for the tap water.
A not so okay experience, a learning experience and one which will not get repeated. Inverness is full of places to dine so I'll chose somewhere else next time. It's just that Giraffe is so conveniently placed that popping in there before shopping at TESCO would/could have been a nice treat to be repeated - but sadly after that first experience not again.
