This place is super busy, lots of people standing round the bar and the sports TV. Every single table was reserved for people coming in to eat and as soon as someone left that table would be reserved again for another booking. Crazy busy, however it is very old school inside and not in a good way, furniture and decor is tired in a grubby way which made us feel uneasy, coupled with so many people standing around nearby drinking made it impossible to relax. The food was ok, it was tasty actually which surprised me a little. There is no children's menu on a Sunday they just do small versions of the roast dinner on offer so if your kid isn't a roast fan (it was a struggle for us) might be an issue. This is not somewhere to kick back eat and relax but if you're looking for a reasonably priced (£7.95) ok roast dinner and don't mind the view this is the place for you especially if you'd like to keep one eye on the footie :)

Lovely friendly place. We didn't want a whopping meal so popped in here as there was an offer on for starter and main or main and dessert. The food was well presented and very tasty. Homemade obviously. Well worth a visit and opposite are views of the mersey

Easiest 5 stars I have given for a long time. 5 of us had different meals from the menu, all of us gave 9/10 or 10/10. will be returning.

Went in here for Sunday lunch yesterday. Sunday lunch was lovely, well worth the £6.90 (or £7.90 for a large meal). The pub was very busy so I would recommend booking a table.
The meal was lovely, staff were great, good prompt, polite service and lovely food. What more can you ask for! I'd definitely recommend this pub for a meal and/or a drink. We will definitely be going back. :-)
