Not my favourite Wertherspoons. It's all too open plan for me, more reminiscent to a School Canteen than an actual pub. Ale is cheap enough and food is standard Wertherspoons food. Avoid when Liverpool are playing at home unless you wish to be surrounded by tourist fans who hit a language barrier as they struggle for 10 minutes trying to order a drink in various languages. It’s a Wetherspoons so a decent enough pub with good food and friendly staff, don’t go in on match days if you don’t support that small blue club. The pub itself does what it does very well and the staff are great

We go here most Tuesdays for the Steak Night. Food and service is always good.
Don't normally have issues but tonight there were a couple of things.
I was served by a young lad I'd not recall seeing before and he just didnt look interested in the job. I was served wrong measure of drink I asked for and he did seem bothered when it was pointed out to him by another member of staff.
As we were having our meal, there was a constant banging of bottles being thrown into the skip between the bar area and the kitchen.
On looking over it was the same lad who served me earlier. Why he could not just place the empty bottles there without having to throw them I'll never know. It was a constant interuption to us enjoying our meal.
His customer service skills need to be addressed.
