Waited 15 minutes for chips even though I was first in the shop. They claimed to be Vegan friendly and said they had their own special recipe Vegan nuggets. Which I ordered.

The order was for take out. Once I had got back home to eat with my son we found that the chips underdone to the point of being almost raw. They were hard and the insides tasted like raw potato. They batter on the outside was dark, soft and very unpleasant to taste.
The 'Vegan' nuggets they claimed to be their own special recipe turned out to be quorn nuggets coated with the same foul batter. Quorn nuggets contain eggs.
We had lost our appetites and threw the 'food' away. I would not recommend this establishment and will never be using it again.

Ill be honest, i dont know anyone who has one positive thing to say about this place, the food is horrendous.. im surprised they havent been closed down yet.. chips are uncooked, theyre better off serving raw potatoes.. ive seen people leaving the shop with food, and thank god theres a bin outside, cause thats the next stop for ALL the brades chippy customers... its kinda stupid to even open the place really, i mean, the CODFATHER has been standing tall for over 8 years, and i have never been disappointed with their service, the food is great and the staff are friendly, and to top it off, they have their own parking, so i can always rely on them for the best service, i have recommended the CODFATHER to everyone i know... but the brades chippy is a skidmark on the underpants of society.. they are enemies of decent food.... anyone who wants real food, go to the codfather, and see for yourselves...

The food here is a delight: proper fat, tasty chips and your choice of many types of fresh fish - some you'd never get in your local chippie - cooked how you want it (grilled/batteres/fried) with a short selection of traditional side dishes (mushy peas, bread and butter) and a good range of soft drinks. In other restaurants/takeaways I pick most of the batter off my fish as it's heavy and greasy but here I ate it all up, it was so light and delicious. Undoubtedly the best fish and chips.
