My experience with my teachers were wonderful. But be cautious with any other personnel in the registration, admissions, etc. all they want is your money. I'm now trying to attend a different college and trying to get my transcripts sent to it. Amanda Obi in the registrar office is rude and has been since I've called about them. I ignored her for the most because I just wanted to get my transcripts which should've been an easy task. I am having to redo my transcript request form because they do not accept a typewritten signature. I don't have access to a printer or scanner to do a live signature. I also have paid for my official transcripts and now she is messaging saying that I have not paid for them. I'm ready to get this experience over with. So just be cautious when thinking about attending this school.

I will be attending the Art Institute of Charleston in October... I've read a good bit of reviews, but if anyone ha any advice or further comments please let me know before I make if official that I'm attending this school.

Stay far away from the the AI...your child will not find a job after school! They will have a degree that nobody will say oh, you went to school there!!?? It is more like OMG you poor thing. Yeah, they will chew you up and spit you out broke and jobless. And for the ones that say there child was on the dean's list. That will get you nowhere!! This school is a joke! You can not transfer credits from this school. NOBODY will except them!! Dorms are the worst!! They have 4 teens in one, 2 bedroom apt. It is just bad(they each pay 700 bucks a month). Then you have the bus that runs. I can tell you they rock!! I became very good friends with the drivers. They made sure my child was safe and would not leave until she got to her car. We went to the school, because they make it seem so great. The teacher are wonderful(the ones they can keep). The students all want to learn, but soon find out they are not going to make it in the field they went to school for. Just be very careful of this place!! I would never never never tell someone to go here. It cost just as much to go to CofC in Charleston. Heck CofC is probably cheaper!!:( I did not even want to give a star!!

I'm a Fashion Design student and the program is great, I don't think that it should be that expensive but I feel I've learned a lot since I've been here. I'm not sure about all black kids that attend this school are racist... But we do have lots other races that attend this school, it's a very colorful place. I would definitely recommend that you look into scholarships and grants before attending because this school is very expensive and most supplies & books are not included.
