This is one of my all time favorite bars in Chicago. They make amazing cocktail drinks and their cheap beers are a pretty decent price for being Chicago. The burgers they make are completely unreal. The outside patio is very nice, esp in the summer.

The ginger beer is the best in town and most other places. The food is really good. Had the sausage and lentils, very tasty, and tried the burger, quality. The menu options for gluten free folks is limited, but there are options.

Drinks were great, bartender seemed cool until he kicked my boyfriend out because he 'had too much to drink'. We both had two drinks prior to coming with our best friend, who happens to be female. So I don't know if he thought our friend and I were hookers and my boyfriend was a pimp, or what (that's literally the only reason I can think of, and I've been racking my brain and nobody would give a reason), but it was completely uncalled for and we were extremely confused about why they decided my boyfriend wouldn't be served anymore. So the one drink each of us had was good, but the service after that was terrible. I understand if they want to keep drunk people out, except none of us were drunk. So I'm left questioning what happened and nobody had answers when I asked them.

I came here with some friends after work with the intention of trying the intriguing menu. The 4 of us cuddled around the bar... and between us we tried more than half the menu in 3 rounds of ordering because everything was so exceptional. I think the favorite of the night was the root vegetables that two of the guys were practically fighting over. The drinks floored me. The bartender was happily accommodating to my requests to "just make me something". In the end my least favorite was the one I ordered myself. One friend, who I respect for his culinary skills and whiskey expertise, raved about the cocktails as the best he's found in the city. And we tried many. Ranking them was hard. But also delightful. I'd go again in a heartbeat ... and on top of all that the music and atmosphere was just my style.
