Although friendly, the service is terrible all around. There is this one guy in particular who takes the dogs in the back to groom them or give them shots that has no business working with animals since I noticed a sorta sadistic smirk from him one time when he made my 15 pound dog cry in the back. I have no idea why they need to take the dog away from view to begin with for such routine things. The other time I brought my dog in for some bumps that I discovered, and I had a name for them since it is common for the breed, the "doctor" had never heard of the name I mentioned nor did she say "Let me look it up", she just said I have never heard of it, done and done. There are other little things that bother me here, such as waiting too long in the room for someone to come, and little to no help with requests such as paperwork. The only positive I can think of is location, but I rather drive 50 miles for my dog then take them here.

We just went to Hyde Park Vet Clinic for the first time this past week, and I was beyond impressed with the service we received, as well as the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the facility. We have a brand new puppy, and he was treated wonderfully. They practice a low stress environment, and that helped to put myself and Gizmo at ease. His vaccines were quick and painless, and they had the results of some tests done the next day, and Dr. Melissa called to give us the news! Thank you Dr. Melissa and all the other staff at the clinic for a great first visit, and we will most definitely be back!

The staff that works at Hyde Park Vet are extraordinary. They make me and my dog feel welcomed every time. They never do unnecessary tests and always make a nervous dog comfortable. I've been going here for 4 years and I wouldn't recommend any other vet in South Tampa.
