The Museum has closed its permanent exhibition for renovations leaving only a tiny portion still available to view (including the copper Dead Sea scroll). However, no information is posted about this at the ticket stand and they're continuing to charge the full entry fee. Definitely disappointing for the price they're charging.

You can add your name in the museum and it will appear your name in three languages as you can see and you can print it how cool is that.

This is a wonderful museum. It was a treat to see incredible historical artifacts that originally came from this region (as opposed to seeing similar things in the British Museum, etc.). I spent approximately 2 hours in the museum and read about 70% of the written information, overall. The entrance to the main courtyard is on the west side of the complex. The ticket office is in this courtyard, but it is separate from the main entrance. The entry price is 1 JOD. At the time of writing (2 Aug. 2017), the cafeteria was not open/hadn't been fully built yet - so bring your own snacks, if necessary. Additionally, the second floor of the museum is still under construction. It's an exquisite building and a well-curated museum that is well worth visiting if you are in Amman.
